Who We are

This privacy policy describes how 20North, Inc. and its related companies (“20North”) collect, use and share personally identifiable information of users of and any other websites owned by 20North (collectively, “Sites”) and Services (as defined in the Terms of Service). Capitalized terms not defined in this privacy policy have the meanings given in our Terms of Service.  Your use of any of our Services, including the Sites, constitutes your acceptance of the terms of this privacy policy as revised from time to time.

20North provides various products, tools and services through our Services as part of our online platform that enables users to curate, organize and share information, documents, links, files and other digital content with other users within and outside of their organizations.

What Information We Collect, How We Get It

User Entry.  We collect information that could personally identify you (often called “Personally Identifiable Information”) that you voluntarily provide to us. You may provide us this information when you create a user account, order a product or service, request subscription content, send us a question via e-mail or otherwise contact us.  Examples of this information may include name, username, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number or similar information. We also collect Personally Identifiable Information that other users of our Services provide us, for example, a user may enter your name, e-mail and other contact information into such user’s contacts page.

Technical Usage Information.  We automatically collect information about you and your device such as IP addresses, browser type and page viewing and site navigation history as well as information about your usage of our Services via cookies, web beacons and other automated mechanisms.  We collect this information directly and also through GoogleAnalytics.  We also receive technical information from metadata.  We use this information to provide our Services and enhance your user experience, such as provide you an analytics function so you can determine the level of interest of other users in your content, offer you any other or additional services that can be helpful to you or our users or identify the most efficient path for getting you to the content that interests you.

“Cookies” are small data files that are placed on your browser by a website. Information from Others.  We may get information about you from other companies.  We may add this information to information we get through our Services.

Your Content is Yours.  Being a content based company we strive to help users classify and find content they need. Hence, as part of our Services, to help you generate interest in and share Your Content, recommend additional reading, provide you and other users quality search results and otherwise enhance the Services experience, we may utilize automated mechanisms to capture limited portions of or determine key words about Your Content. How We Use Personal Information

We generally use Personally Identifiable Information to provide, operate, maintain and improve our Services and to respond to your requests as well as communicate with you regarding matters related to our Services (e.g., notices, technical alerts, support messages etc.). Sharing Information with Others

Other Third Parties.  We utilize certain third-party service providers and entities to help us provide our Services to you (for example, Hubspot, WP Engine, Egnyte, etc. for technical infrastructure), and we may provide your information to these or other entities (e.g., a data storage facility, payment processing center or user directory service) in order to provide our Services to you. In addition, when you click on an item linking to another website, service or location, another entity may collect information from you. Some third-party companies will ask you to enter your Personally Identifiable Information directly with them and may provide some or all of that information back to us.  All third-party collection and use of your information is governed by the privacy policy of the applicable third-party, and we disclaim any and all liability fora third-party’s actions, links, websites, services and products.

Business Transactions. As our business develops, we might sell or buy businesses or assets.  Should we undergo or negotiate a merger, acquisition, sale or transfer of part of our business or assets or purchase of another business or asset, financing or other corporate event, we may provide your relevant information to the relevant entity and reserve the right to do so.

Legal Requirements. In some circumstances, we may need to disclose your information (a) in response to a subpoena or law-enforcement procedure or as we otherwise reasonably believe we are required to do so bylaw, regulation or governmental authority, (b) to preserve our rights or property, or (c) to protect the personal safety of someone in an emergency, and we reserve the right to do so.

Third-Party Collection of Personally Identifiable Information

We use Google Analytics and third-party services as described above. Otherwise, our Services do not knowingly permit or facilitate any third-party to collect Personally Identifiable Information about your online activities over time via the Sites.

How We Protect Your Personally Identifiable Information

We take reasonable steps consistent with industry practice to protect your Personally Identifiable Information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. How to Update, Correct and Manage your Personally Identifiable Information; Information Choices

You can typically remove and reject cookies from our Sites with your browser settings.  Many browsers are set to accept cookies until you change your settings.  If you remove or reject our cookies, it could affect how our Sites work for you.

Do Not Track Signals

The Services currently do not support the ability to respond to “Do Not Track” signals that may be emitted from a user’s device.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Should we decide it is useful or helpful to make changes to this privacy policy, a revised version of the policy will be posted on our Site indicating a new effective date. Your continued use of any of the Services will constitute your acceptance of the revised policy, subject to the amendment procedures described in the Terms of Service.

Governing Law

We are located in Georgia, U.S.A., and this privacy policy will be governed by Georgia law without regard to any conflict of law principles.  Your information may be processed in the country in which it was collected and in other countries, including the United States, where laws regarding processing of information may be less stringent than the laws in your country.  By using any of the Services, you consent to the collection, transfer, use, storage and disclosure of your information as described in this privacy policy and submit to the jurisdiction of and within the State of Georgia.
